Bonsai Basics

Have you ever wanted to try bonsai? Here’s your chance! Get your hands dirty in this interactive class as you learn about the art of bonsai. You will have the opportunity to create your own juniper bonsai to take home, along with the knowledge of how to care for it – a great keepsake of the day that, with your loving-kindness, you will have for years to come! This class is designed for novices of all ages looking to create their first bonsai and have a fun afternoon among the trees of Pacific Bonsai Museum. All materials included. Participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Our classes are typically offered seasonally, between March and October. Details will be available on our Events Calendar as class dates and times are announced.

Aarin’s Advanced Bonsai Workshop

We are thrilled to present a new opportunity for you to pack your tools and bring your own tree(s) to an Advanced Bonsai Workshop with our Curator, Aarin Packard.

You can be part of a special gathering of dedicated individuals who share your passion for bonsai. In this behind-the-scenes setting, you will have the privilege of receiving personalized attention and expert guidance throughout the day as you work on your bonsai. Aarin will advise you on design, styling, and general care for your personal bonsai trees.

This Advanced Bonsai Workshop will foster a creative and supportive environment in which you can learn, gain new insights, and immerse yourself in your art. Engage in discussions and exchange ideas with fellow bonsai enthusiasts as you take your knowledge and skills to the next level.
