World Tai Chi Day

Practice Tai Chi along with others all around the world!Come to our front entrance and meet in our Courtyard where Hansie Wong and the Federal Way Community Center Tai Chi group will guide you through a series of gentle exercises.Tai chi is an ancient Chinese martial art that exercises the mind and body through slow movements. Practicing tai chi regularly can improve balance and coordination, increase energy and stamina, reduce stress, and calm the mind. Qigong (pronounced “chee-gong”) is an “energy exercise” that connects the mind and body to promote healing. Learn to use your breath in a simple practice to help circulate your body’s energy and connect with others.  About Hansie WongHansie has been practicing tai chi and qigong since 1997 and enjoys sharing the philosophy of these arts with the public. She is a movement enthusiast and is passionate about applying body awareness and mindfulness to maintain and optimize health. She teaches tai chi and qigong at the Federal Way Community Center on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday mornings at 8:30 am and also occasionally presents free public workshops.
