A Bonsai Solstice
A community favorite, A Bonsai Solstice, is our annual evening of peace and joy when we invite you to visit the collection at night, stroll through the exhibit, and take in the glow of bonsai illuminated by soft holiday lights. Live acoustic music from acclaimed local guitarist Leon Christian will add to the magical atmosphere. Leon plays from 5 to 7pm. MLK-Day of Service at the Museum
Spend your MLK-Day morning being active, outside, with (new) friends from your community helping maintain a healthy, beautiful forest around Pacific Bonsai Museum. You will be doing valuable jobs like raking, clearing forest debris, pulling weeds, and clearing fallen needles from the bonsai exhibits. No particular skills are needed for this work—just your willingness to help and your ability to move around, bend, and lift light loads. Update, March 12, 2020: During this unprecedented time as COVID-19 (Coronavirus) spreads in Washington State, and because the health and safety of our visitors, volunteers, staff is our greatest concern, we have decided to cancel the March 28th Bonsai Basics class.
