MLK-Day of Service at the Museum
January 20 at 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
Spend your MLK-Day morning being active, outside, with (new) friends from your community helping maintain a healthy, beautiful forest around Pacific Bonsai Museum.
You will be doing valuable jobs like raking, clearing forest debris, pulling weeds, and clearing fallen needles from the bonsai exhibits. No particular skills are needed for this work—just your willingness to help and your ability to move around, bend, and lift light loads.
The Museum will offer snacks, coffee, and other beverages; you can bring your own lunch if you would like to eat lunch on site. Tools and work gloves will be available for you to use and share; but if you have your own favorite gloves, rakes, pruners, and/or hand shovels, you are welcome to bring those. Please dress appropriately for being outside in the weather (i.e. cold, rain).
Parents: if you would like to bring children with you, those who can help and don’t need a lot of supervision are welcome.
Thank you for your time and service!
